WWII German multi-purpose boat

The KFK multipurpose boat project was developed on the basis of a fishing seiner by Maierform GmbH Bremen in 1941. Their production began in 1942 and was carried out, in addition to Germany itself, at shipbuilding yards in seven European countries (including Kherson, Ukraine). Simple and technological, with a wooden hull and diesel engines, the boats were quite successful, especially in terms of cost/efficiency.

Different armament options allowed the KFK to be used in different roles: as a patrol or escort boat, as a minesweeper to combat sea mines, as a training boat or as ASW boat. The construction of the KFK was the largest shipbuilding series in German history, with a total of 1072 units ordered, of which 612 were built. The boats took part in combat operations in all major theaters of the war, where the German Navy was involved – in the North, in the Atlantic, in the Mediterranean and Black Seas.

Bateau polyvalent allemand de la Seconde Guerre mondiale

Le projet de bateau polyvalent KFK a été développé sur la base d'un senneur de pêche par Maierform GmbH Bremen en 1941. Leur production a commencé en 1942 et a été réalisée, en plus de l'Allemagne elle-même, dans des chantiers navals de sept pays européens (dont Kherson, Ukraine) . Simples et technologiques, avec une coque en bois et des moteurs diesel, les bateaux étaient assez réussis, notamment en termes de rapport coût/efficacité.

Différentes options d'armement ont permis au KFK d'être utilisé dans différents rôles : comme bateau de patrouille ou d'escorte, comme dragueur de mines pour lutter contre les mines marines, comme bateau d'entraînement ou comme bateau ASM. La construction du KFK a été la plus grande série de construction navale de l'histoire allemande, avec un total de 1072 unités commandées, dont 612 ont été construites. Les bateaux ont participé à des opérations de combat sur tous les grands théâtres de la guerre, où la marine allemande était impliquée - dans le Nord, dans l'Atlantique, en Méditerranée et en mer Noire.
